McGraw Tackles The Wolf, Big Dog
• iHeartMedia announced that Amanda McGraw has been awarded her first programming command, and it’s a challenging one — the dual role of Program Director for Central Valley Country cousins KHGE (102.7 The Wolf)/Fresno and KOSO (92.9 The Big Dog)/Modesto, CA. She will report to Tony Matteo, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Central California and Nevada and succeeds Nick Cash, who left in September.
“We are very fortunate to have Amanda join our team,” said Steve Darnell, Market President for iHeartMedia Fresno. “She’s a motivated and skilled programmer and will help elevate our iHeartCountry brands.”
McGraw earns the transfer and promotion from iHeartMedia Sacramento, where she was most recently APD of AC KBEB (92.5 The Breeze) and Country 107.1 The Bull (K296GB). A graduate of the University of Oregon, McGraw began her radio career in Eugene, OR as Promotions Director and morning co-host on Bicoastal Media Top 40 KDUK.
“I’m thrilled to join our fantastic team in Fresno,” said McGraw. “It’s been my goal to program great stations since the beginning of my radio career, so the opportunity to take on two iHeartCountry stations for my first role as Program Director is a dream come true. There is something so special about the artists, listeners and the entire Country community — I’m proud to be a part of it and I’m ready to fill the Central Valley with the best New Country.”
