McShay Held Over In Wyoming

• We are pleased to report that Wes McShay is back in action — best of all, he didn’t have to leave the great state of Wyoming to land his new gig as Western Region/Director of Programming for Appaloosa Broadcasting, based in Cheyenne, WY. McShay starts Feb. 3 and will be in charge of programming the company’s stations in Cheyenne, Laramie, Gillette, Jackson and Cody, WY, plus Rapid City, SD. This is some familiar turf for McShay, who was most recently Operations Manager for Legend Communications in Northwest Wyoming and did mornings on Country KZMQ-FM/Cody, WY until December 2019.

“I can’t wait to get busy with these great radio stations, in many formats and multiple markets,” said McShay. “This is right up my alley, and I get to be in town for Cheyenne Frontier Days! Life is very good.”

McShay earlier spent three years as OM of the Cumulus cluster in Montgomery, AL. His previous programming stops KQFC/Boise, ID, WKDF/NashvilleWDAF/Kansas City and WDRM/Huntsville, AL, and he was also on the air at WZLX/Boston and WWRX (Jammin’ 107.7)/New London, CT. Well-wishers can wish McShay well at 307-899-0007 or wesgardipe@gmail.com.
