MeTV FM Returns To Coachella Valley

• After an eight-month hiatus, KGAY PSP announced that MeTV FM radio is officially returning to the Coachella Valley airwaves starting Monday, August 3, at its new home at 92.1 KMEE/Thermal.

92.1 MeTV FM, dubbed the Coachella Valley’s “Radio gold mine,” rejoins the influential KGAY PSP media family, taking its place alongside KGAY 103.1 and AC Sunny 106.5 (KGAY-HD2), as well as Gay Desert Guide, the leading source for news for the LGBTQ+ community, and Oasis Marketing Group (OMG PSP), a digital marketing agency.

The format on 92.1 MeTV FM boasts a wide variety of classic hits, deep tracks and softer sounds spanning several decades of popular music, including the ’60s and ’70s with a touch of the ’50s and ’80s. The station’s unique music library consists of over 3,500 songs, and more than 350 different songs are played each day with no repeats.

“When we switched formats late last year to move KGAY to a better frequency, we also launched Sunny 106.5 in our radio family,” said Brad Fuhr, Owner & CEO of KGAY PSP. “Sunny 106.5 quickly developed its own loyal audience, but we heard repeatedly from MeTV FM fans that they missed the music, the memories, and the unique companion on the radio that MeTV FM provides. We are thrilled to bring 92.1 MeTV FM back home to the Coachella Valley dial. Our team is committed to delivering great music of all genres and this return reinforces our mission to offer diverse, top-quality local broadcasting.”

Fuhr added, “Further announcements regarding on-air programming and special launch events will be shared in the coming weeks.”
