Michael: A Custom Fit For Custom Channels

Custom Channels, a leading streaming music provider to thousands of businesses in the U.S. and Canada, has expanded its music programming team with the addition of major market veteran John Michael, best known and adored for his 15-year tenure with CBS Radio/Entercom Los Angeles, where he was involved in the operation of The World Famous KROQ, the former KAMP (97.1 AMP Radio), and KCBS-FM (93.1 Jack FM). Earlier in his career, Michael worked at WRXQ (96X)/Memphis, WZRH/New Orleans, KFMA/Tucson and WAQZ/Cincinnati.

“Custom Channels is growing post-pandemic. We have more businesses signing on, so we need more expert music curation,” said John Bradley, Custom Channels’ Chief Music Officer. “It’s rare to find someone with John Michael’s passion for all types of music. His years in radio give him expertise to craft quality playlists designed to play in businesses. I know because I, too, made the transition from FM to in-store.”

Michael said, “I couldn’t be any more pleased to join the team at Custom Channels. I believe that my skill set aligns perfectly; I’ve been very interested in streaming music for a long time. Custom Channels is well-known for its innovative approach to providing expertly-curated music experiences directly to businesses and brands. I already feel right at home.”

Along with his new Custom Channels’ role, Michael will retain his current position as CEO & Founder of Podcave, a software app that brings pro-grade tools and an easy-to-use workflow solution directly to podcasters. He can be congratulated at johnmichael@CustomChannels.net.
