Michael Cross Joins Cherry Creek
• Michael Cross is the new Operations Manager of Cherry Creek Media’s seven-station group in Wenatchee, WA — Classic Rock KPQ-FM, Top 40 KWWW, Country KYSN, Hot AC KQBG, News-Talk KPQ-AM, Talk simulcast KKWN/KWNC and Sports-Talk KYSN-AM, with a start date of Nov. 5.
Kevin Andrus, VP/Market Manager for Cherry Creek Media Wenatchee, said, “Michael has a passion for radio and clearly understands the influence radio has in our listeners’ lives. He understands how to win ratings, coach talent and manage those under his direction. Cross notably spent 20 years with NRG Media Active Rock KFMW (Rock 108)/Waterloo, IA until last November, when his position as FM Operations Manager was eliminated.His resume also includes KAZR (Lazer 103.3)/Des Moines, IA, KSQY/Rapid City, SD and KJKJ/Grand Forks, ND. In the ’80s Cross was APD/MD at KJJO/Minneapolis and he also did mornings on the Z-Rock Network in Dallas.
