Michael Klein Exits MTV

klein-michael-2016Major changes continue to rock the executive ranks inside MTV Networks — the latest casualty is Michael Klein, who, according to Variety and other sources has exited as EVP of Original Programming for MTV after only six months on the job. Klein joined MTV in March of this year, transitioning from his position as EVP of Programming and Content Strategy, Digital Channels for Conde Nast Entertainment.

Klein’s other credits include Vanity Fair Confidential for Investigation Discovery and Man vs. Food for Travel Channel. Klein’s departure comes on the heels of the recent exit of the guy who originally hired him earlier this year — now former MTV President Sean Atkins, who found himself out of a job last month after a year in the post, replaced by Chris McCarthy, President of VH1 and Logo TV.
