Michelle Stevens: Free Agent
• Longtime programmer Michelle Stevens is now a free agent for the first time in over a quarter-century, as her position as Director of Brand Management for Connoisseur Media was eliminated last Friday. “I’m grateful to Jeff Warshaw, Mike Driscoll, David Bevins and everyone at Connoisseur Media,” Stevens said.
Stevens is best known for her 25-year run with Nassau Broadcasting Partners, successfully programming heritage Top 40 WPST/Trenton back in the day. She steadily rose up through the Nassau executive ranks, from VP of Programming, to SVP to EVP of Programming in 2000 and a seat on the Nassau Board Of Directors, winning numerous industry awards and accolades along the way.
In 2013, after Nassau’s sale to Connoisseur Media, Stevens remained with the company as VP of Programming, where she was responsible for overseeing programming and strategy of the company’s 38-station group, and was one of the creators of original franchise brands such as federally trademarked “Frank-FM” in Portland, ME, now the No. 1-performing brand in multiple markets, as well as Classic Hits Max-FM in Nassau-Suffolk, Long Island.
While Stevens contemplates her next move and holds some serious conversations, she continues to lend her many talents as a member of the team of The Randy Lane Company while providing her programming consulting services to several radio stations. She can be reached at mstevens.rlc@gmail.com.
