Miggy’s On The Move
RAMP has confirmed that Miggy Santos has departed the PD post at Alpha Media Top 40 KLLY (Energy 95.3)/Bakersfield. He will be in town for the next two weeks if you need him. He is expected to announce his new gig after the first of the year. Santos had been in Bakersfield since September of 2015. Before that he did mornings on Kemp Rhythmic KVEG (Hot 97.5)/Las Vegas. Santos’ career also includes stops at KSAS and KZMG/Boise, ID, KWYE (Y101)/Fresno and a stint in New Orleans.
Last night Santos shared his thoughts with RAMP, as he said, “I would like to thank Alpha Media for this opportunity to have met some of the best people to work with — Snacks and Mary G, Dj Jess, Jo-Go On The Radio and Tino Cochino. We are truly a family and they will be missed a lot. He continued, “We have done big things with this brand and they are not done yet. They will continue to dominate as the best Top 40 in Bakersfield! Also, a big thank you to [Alpha VP of Programming] Phil Becker for his amazing knowledge in radio — I have learned so much from him and I appreciate that so much. My GM Mary Lou Gunn has been amazing and so understanding… she is one of the best in the business and she too will be missed.” In conclusion, Santos said, “I will keep you updated on my move in early January for I’m excited about this move and ready for a great 2017!”
