‘Mojo’ Named OM Of Cumulus Mobile

• Cumulus Media has appointed Vincent “Mojo” Wilson as the new Operations Manager of the company’s five-station group in Mobile, AL — Top 40 WABD, Urban WBLX, Urban AC WDLT, News-Talk WXQW-AM and Gospel WGOK-AM. Wilson will also serve as Program Director of WABD and WXQW-AM and do middays on WABD.

A 26-year radio veteran, Wilson was most recently Director of Operations for Southern Broadcasting in Florence-Muscle Shoals, AL. He started his career doing nights at WFLZ/Tampa and was also on-air at WMGC (105.1 The Bounce)/Detroit.

When introducing Wilson, Don Boyd, VP/Market Manager of Cumulus Mobile, said, “Mojo is a talented programmer and on-air personality with a strong track record leading Urban, CHR, Gospel and News-Talk stations. Wilson succeeds Jimmy Steele, who last month transferred to the PD chair at heritage Top 40 WZPL (99.5 ZPL)/Indianapolis.
