More iHeartMedia Departures
• UPDATED: And the budget cuts continue inside iHeartMedia…
• Tracey Baumgard, 27-year company veteran has exited her position as Market President of the company’s Huntington, WV group. Baumgard started her radio career down the hall at Country 103.3 WTCR (where her colleague, TCR morning personality Judy Eaton was also let go after 33 years… read on).
Baumgard worked her way up through the ranks, taking on roles in traffic, accounting, promotions and events, marketing and sales to General Sales Manager, before she was ultimately elevated to Market President in 2019. Baumgard can be contacted at traceybaumgard@hotmail.com.
• It’s the end of a three-decade era at iHeartMedia Country 103.3 WTCR/Huntington, WV, as morning icon Judy Eaton has exited after a remarkable 33-year run. Eaton, who also handled Promotions Director responsibilities, originally joined WTCR in March 1990.
For now, at least, the WTCR morning show is being handled remotely by the husband/wife duo of Eddie andAmanda Foxx, hosts of The Eddie Foxx Show, based at sister WKSF (99.9 Kiss Country)/Asheville, NC. Eaton can now be reached at judyleeeaton@gmail.com.
• And there’s more — Shaun Ridderbush, longtime co-host of the award-winning Ridder, Scott & Shannen morning show on Country WMIL (FM 106.1)/Milwaukee has left the building. The show has now been rebranded as Scott & Shannen, although, at press time, someone forgot to delete the Ridder Scott & Shannen logo on the morning show page.
• If you or a colleague has been similarly affected by these cuts and would like your contact info shared with the industry, please email Kevin@RAMP247.com.
