Morgan Expands His Classic Hits Portfolio
• Audacy has elevated Larry Morgan to Regional Brand Manager of its Classic Hits format. In addition to his existing role as Assistant Brand Director at KRTH (K-Earth 101)/Los Angeles, Morgan will now oversee Classic Hits siblings 94.5 KOOL FM/Phoenix and KXSN (Sunny 98.1)/San Diego.
“Larry is an invaluable member of the K-Earth team and I’m thrilled to see his talents and influence now spread to KOOL in Phoenix and Sunny in San Diego,” said Chris Ebbott, Audacy VP of Classic Hits.
Morgan joined K-Earth in Jan. 2015 as Asst. Brand Manager, overseeing the day-to-day programming operations of the legendary Classic Hits station. Before that he co-hosted afternoons across the street on Mt. Wilson Broadcasters’ KKGO (Go Country 105) and did mornings now former Bonneville Classic Rock KSWD (100.3 the Sound). Some of Morgan’s other notable radio stops include KIIS-FM/Los Angeles, KSFM/Sacramento and KHMX (Mix 96.5)/Houston. Morgan also spent over a decade as SVP of Network Programs and Services at Premiere Networks, shepherding the launch and development of a diverse lineup of shows, including American Top 40 with Ryan Seacrest, Delilah, After MidNite and many others.
“I’m so excited and honored to be an official part of the team at these two great stations,” Morgan remarked. “Both markets have a long history of radio excellence, and I look forward to working together to elevate these awesome brands to new heights. Plus, I have the added bonus of continuing to contribute at the legendary K-Earth 101 in Los Angeles. It’s the best of all worlds for me, and all in the same time zone!”
