Morini New PD of KHFI & ALT 97.5/Austin

• iHeartMedia Austin just introduced Trevor Morini as the new PD of heritage Top 40 KHFI (96.7 Kiss FM) and ALT 97.5 (KASE HD2). Morini, a.k.a “Trey Miller” is a three-year company vet who earns the transfer from the PD chair at Top 40 sister KTBT (92.1 The Beat)/Tulsa. In his new post Morini will report to Brian Gann, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Austin/San Antonio. “We are thrilled to have Trevor come on board to lead 96.7 Kiss FM,” said Matt Martin, President of  iHeartMedia Austin/San Antonio. “He’s a talented programmer and will be a great addition to the station. We could not be more excited to have him on the team.”

Morini started his radio career on beautiful Cape, Cod, MA, doing weekends/fill-in at WRZE (96.3 The Rose) and WCOD. From there he moved up to Providence to do weekends on Cumulus Top 40 92 PRO-FM, later crossing the hall to Rhythmic sister WWKX (Hot 106.3), where he rose to APD/afternoons. He landed his first PD gig at KTBT/Tulsa in August 2015.

Morini exclaimed, “I’m beyond excited for the opportunity to work with the great team in Austin and can’t wait to get started! I can’t thank Don Cristi and Jon Phillips enough for everything they’ve done for me in Tulsa. I would not be ready for this next chapter without their guidance and support. I’d also like to thank Tony Coles, Brian Gann and Matt Martin for allowing me the honor of programming such a legendary station as KHFI!”

Morini succeeds Zac “Mayhem” Wellsandt, who was recently named APD/MD/midday talent at Top 40 sibling KBKS (106.1 Kiss FM)/Seattle.
