Moving Day At Beasley Ft. Myers

• Beasley Media Group Southwest Florida is pleased to announce the following programming department promotions and fancy on-air moves:

The action begins with Jeff Zito, who is once again named PD of WRXK (96k-Rock)/Ft. Myers-Naples. Yes, this is very familiar ground for Mr. Zito, a 20-year market vet who programmed 96k-Rock until two years ago, when he earned the transfer to Classic Rock sister WPBB (98.7 The Shark)/Tampa as APD/afternoon talent — a gig that he will retain. Now, let’s meet k-Rock’s new midday talent and Programming Coordinator — Marija Puidak, who used to do mornings across the street on Sun Broadcasting’s WXNX-FM until the station changed format. She’s been doing weekends on WRXK since November 2020 and will now be on weekdays from 10am-2pm.

Over on AC WJPT (Sunny 106.3), after more than 15 years in middays, Sheila Book is moving up to anchor mornings. Book’s longtime Sunny midday shift is awarded to 15-year cluster vet Joe Winner, who will also take on Sunny APD duties. Winner remains APD of Top 40 sister WXKB (B103.9) and hands off his B103.9 midday shift to another very familiar voice — Babs, who previously spent nine years on B103.9 until March 2019, when she transferred to middays on WLLD (Wild 94.1), where she remains based.
