Moving Day For ‘Mandy & Friends’

• A familiar voice in Lexington, KY radio will soon have a new home — beginning Monday, March 30, Mandy & Friends migrates from afternoons on LM Communications’ Hot AC WCDA (Hits 106.3) over to the same daypart on AC sister WGKS (Kiss 96.9).

Throughout the month of March, LM Communications has been informing listeners on both Hits 106.3 and Kiss 96.9, keeping audiences updated about the transition, ensuring fans know where to find Mandy in her new home.

Mandy Williamson (left) joined Hits 106.3 in early 2017, arriving from mornings on Magic Broadcasting Top 40 WILN (Island 106)/Panama City, FL. She initially anchored mornings before transitioning to afternoons in 2022.

“Moving Mandy & Friends to Kiss 96.9 is an exciting step for both Mandy and the station,” said PD Patrick Scott. “Mandy has a strong connection with listeners and a proven track record in afternoons. We’re thrilled to introduce her show to the Kiss audience while continuing to grow the brand.”

And as part of the lineup change, Your Favorite Cousin Wayne (right), who has been doing nights on Hits 106.3, will move up into Mandy’s afternoon slot.

“Wayne brings a ton of energy and entertainment to the airwaves,” Scott said. “He’s built a strong connection with our listeners at night, and we’re excited for him to bring that same excitement to afternoons on Hits 106.3.”
