Mullett Comes Home To The Point
• It’s a true radio homecoming for John Mullett, who is returning to the place where he got his radio start, this time as PD — of Northwest Digital and Wireless Triple A WNCS (The Point)/Burlington, VT and nine-signal Point Radio Network (WNCS, WIFY, WDOT, WRJT and translators) that covers Northern Vermont like a warm blanket.
Mullett, a Vermont native, will move back home from Boston, where he has served as MD/Marketing Director for Beasley Alternative WBOS (ALT 92.9) since August 2016. Before joining WBOS in 2013, Mullett was across the street as Marketing Director of Northeast Broadcasting Triple A WXRV (92.5 The River)/Boston. Commenting on his upcoming move, Mullett said, “I could not be more excited to return to Vermont to work with such an amazing team on a brand that is a truly meaningful staple of the state and at a station I listened to growing up.”
Longtime Point PD Zeb Norris remains firmly with the station and is happy to downshift from programming and focus on his morning show. “After 12 years in the driver’s seat I’m thrilled to pass the wheel to John Mullett,” Norris said. “He’s not only a friend, he’s a smart young guy with the skills to take us to the proverbial next level™.”
