‘Nard’ Takes The Reins At WNCX/Cleveland

• Audacy keeps it in the family and promotes Dominic “Nard” Nardella to Brand Manager of Classic Rock 98.5 WNCX/Cleveland. He succeeds Bill Louis, who retired in December. In his newly enhanced position, Mr. Nard will now oversee all aspects of the station’s content strategy, talent, operations and branding, while also manning the midday shift.

“Nard is the ideal candidate for this job because of his experience in Cleveland and his knowledge of the NCX brand,” said Tom Herschel, SVP/Market Manager, Audacy Cleveland. “We’re looking forward to having him join our team to help take 98.5 WNCX to even greater heights in Cleveland.”

Nard hails from Youngstown, OH, where he used to work at WNCD, but is a familiar voice on Cleveland radio, having spent a decade in the market starting in 2001 as an air personality on the former WXTM (92.3 Xtreme Radio) and PD of its successors, WKRK (92.3 K-Rock) and Radio 92.3. He also spent some quality time with SiriusXM.

“I’m honored to be taking the WNCX reins,” said Nardella. “The station and the city of Cleveland have always been close to me. I look forward to working with the Audacy team of Tom Herschel, Dave Popovich, Dave Richards and Vince Richards.”
