New Challenge For iHeart’s Meg Stevens

• Less than a week after her well deserved induction into the Country Radio Hall of Fame, Meg Stevens announced she is stepping down from her role as iHeartMedia Atlanta SVP of Programming and transitioning into a new corporate advisory position.

In a statement, Stevens (pictured during her HOF induction) said, “I can confirm that I am moving to a different role in the company, and I’m excited to continue working with [EVP, Country Programming Strategy] Rod Phillips and the iHeartCountry team.”

Stevens had been in Atlanta since early 2019, earning the transfer from Charlotte, where she had served as Region Senior Vice President of Programming for the company’s Virginia-Carolina Region and PD of Country WKKT (96.9 The Kat).

Stevens earlier served as iHeartMedia Executive Vice President of Programming, East Division, and SVP of Programming for Country duo WMZQ/Washington and WPOC/Baltimore. She previously programmed WGAR & WMJI/Cleveland. Stevens began her radio career in Syracuse, NY at WAQX and WYYY before moving into Country at WBBS in 1993, rising to PD over her seven-year run.
