New Cook In Entercom’s Kitchen
• Tom Cook is trading Michigan for Maryland, as he joins Entercom Baltimore as Director of Music Programming, effective July 30. Cook will oversee programming on AC WLIF (Today’s 101.9) and Hot AC WWMX (Mix 106.5).
Cook spent the past seven years in Grand Rapids, MI as Michigan Regional Operations Manager for Townsquare Media, overseeing programming for 23 stations in five markets. He previously served as OM/PD of Clear Channel Top 40 WVKS (92.5 Kiss FM) and AC WRVF (101.5 The River)/Toledo, OH. Cook’s previous noteworthy stops include WSNI/Philadelphia, KRBB/Wichita, WLTQ/Milwaukee and weekends at WLTW/New York, to name a few.
“We are delighted to welcome Tom to our team,” said Tracy Brandys, SVP/Market Manager, Entercom Baltimore. “He has an amazing track record of accomplishments at the various stations he has programmed, and we look forward to him bringing that enthusiasm and experience to us here in Baltimore.” Cook commented, “I am beyond excited to join the team at Entercom Baltimore. These stations have amazing on-air talent and content teams, which makes this role a dream for me.”
Cook succeeds 14-year cluster vet Dave Labrozzi, who in late May was named PD of Cumulus Hot AC WPLJ/New York.
