New Morning Mixture At Mix 100
• UPDATED: Utilizing experienced on-air talent already on staff, KSE Media Hot AC KIMN (Mix 100)/Denver today launches Denver’s Morning Show, hosted by Nina Blanco and Josh Griesemer. The official on-air announcement was made last Friday.
Last week we reported that KIMN had parted ways with 2/3 of its existing morning team, as Jeremy Padgett and Katy Mitchell exited, while Griesemer was retained. He will now be paired with KIMN MD Nina Blanco, who is elevated from afternoon drive.
Blanco joined KIMN in 2023 and was formally elevated from 2-4pm to the 3-7 afternoon drive show in September 2024 and was awarded MD stripes last November. Blanco earlier co-hosted mornings across the street on iHeartMedia’s KPTT (formerly 95.7 The Party) and did middays on Max Media Hip Hop KFCO (Flo 107.1). Blanco started her career at WCIL/Carbondale, IL, and in 2015 was hired for nights at former Emmis Top 40 KNOU (Now 96.3)/St. Louis, later moving up to morning co-host.
Griesemer has been with the company since 2018, working for sister KKSE (Altitude 92.5), before crossing the hall to KIMN as morning show producer/co-host in April 2020.
> Today, KSE noted that Blanco, a two-time Colorado Broadcasters Association (CBA) Awards of Excellence winner for Best Afternoon Show in 2024 & ’25, now becomes “the first Hispanic female to lead a morning show on a major commercial FM station in the Denver market.” The release goes on to point out that “Denver’s Hispanic and Latino community represents 28 percent of the city’s population, yet no Hispanic woman has ever led a morning show on one of the major commercial FM stations. That changes now. Blanco’s appointment is a landmark moment for Denver broadcasting and a powerful signal to the next generation of Latina media professionals across the country.”

Blanco remarked, “I grew up listening to voices on the radio that sounded like mine, and some that didn’t. Both shaped me. But I always dreamed of being in that seat, doing it my way, for a city I love with everything I have. Denver is home. Mix 100 is family. If a little girl anywhere in Colorado turns on the radio in the morning, hears me, and thinks, ‘I could do that,’ then this is already everything.”
