Next Chapter For Lance Tidwell
• RAMP has learned that veteran programmer Lance Tidwell has resigned his position as Operations Manager for Townsquare Northern Colorado. In a statement announcing his resignation, Tidwell said, “Many friends in the industry have followed my former wife’s battle with Stage 3b colon cancer and know there have been some very challenging times these past few years, and yet I am in such a great place today, so much clarity and direction on the heels of a challenging chapter. This was a difficult decision but the right one. I want to thank Bob Freeman, Kurt Johnson and Townsquare for the chance to work with some really great people in Northern Colorado. Townsquare NoCo Market President Evan Harrison, DOS Joel Clary and the team here are tremendous and they will do some great things.”
Tidwell (pictured) arrived in Ft. Collins earlier this year from Cumulus Kansas City, where he has served as Operations Manager of the seven-station group and PD of News/Talk KCMO and the Chiefs Radio Network since March 2016. Before that he was SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia San Antonio and Tucson. Earlier in his career Tidwell programmed Clear Channel Country WWYZ/Hartford, CT and Citadel’s KQFC/Boise and WGKX/Memphis. His resume also includes stops at KKWF (100.7 The Wolf)/Seattle, KTOM/Monterey-Salinas, CA and WCOS/Columbia, SC.
In closing, Tidwell said, “I will be taking some time to visit family in the Atlanta area while I take time to consider my next opportunity.” Looking ahead, Tidwell can be reached at 970-999-4294 or lance.tidwell@gmail.com.
