Now Entering Seattle: Walter Flakus
• Entercom Alternative KNDD (107.7 The End)/Seattle has managed to nail down the services of major market Alt star Walter Flakus as APD and afternoon drive host, effective August 6.
Flakus (left) is inbound from Chicago, where he spent the past five years as APD/MD and evening entertainer at Cumulus Alternative WKQX. He was also MD for the late, great WLUP (The Loop)/Chicago, and previously worked for SiriusXM and the former WHRL-FM/Albany, NY.
“We’re thrilled to welcome such a talented programmer to the 107.7 The End team,” said Jack Hutchison, SVP/Market Manager, Entercom Seattle. “Walter brings extensive experience and leadership both on and off the air, which will benefit listeners and partners.”
Flakus exclaimed, “I’m so excited to be a part of the history of such a legendary station like 107.7 The End. It’s been on my to-do list for many years. I’d like to extend many thanks to [PD] Leslie Scottand Dave Richards[SVP, Programming & Ops, Entercom Seattle] for making this happen. I guess now it’s time to invest in a rain jacket.”
