Page Six Turns To Astra
• The New York Post’s Page Six, a leader in the celebrity entertainment space, is expanding its current video operations and original programming by launching a state-of-the-art video studio in New York City. The new Page Six studio, sponsored by Tri-State Cadillac has several modular setups that will allow for a variety of sets and shooting arrangements. The team will produce daily hosted video segments, spanning celebrity entertainment news, fashion round-ups, awards show and red carpet coverage, celebrity real estate, beauty and fashion advice, shoppable video, and more. All video content will be published on pagesix.com, YouTube, and Page Six social handles.
That being said, the Page Six team is thrilled to announce that veteran major market media personality Astra as the new Page Six global anchor. Astra, who has been doing weekends/fill-in on iHeartMedia’s WKTU/New York since 2018 (a gig she will retain), originally came to tri-state radio prominence during a decade-long stint at Cox Media Group Top 40 WBLI/Long Island, followed by a run in afternoon drive on former CBS Radio Top 40 WBMP (92.3 AMP Radio)/New York. She also hosted Astra’s World for five years on Pitbull’s Globalization channel on SiriusXM.
“Page Six has been a leader in celebrity entertainment for over 40 years,” said Sean Giancola, New York PostCEO & Publisher. “We’ve grown from a daily print must-read to a multi-platform source for celebrity exclusives and breaking news. Expanding our video slate is a natural next step in our evolution. We’re looking forward to the Page Six Video Studio becoming a regular stop on celebrity press junkets, and we’re excited to bring our loyal audience even more engaging content.”
