PD/Mornings Open In Sunny Ft. Myers

• Sometimes life can throw you a curveball that affects your future plans… such is the case with Louisville radio vet Chris Randolph, who last month was announced as the new PD and morning talent on Beasley Soft AC WJPT (Sunny 106.3)/Ft. Myers, FL.

As it turns out, family circumstances dictated a change of plans, and Randolph has opted not to accept the new position, as he posted to Facebook, “Well we ended up not moving to Fort Myers after all. Anne has a GREAT job here and we decided it to be a smarter move for us to follow her medical career than my radio career. Already have my VO/VT business back up and running. Life is good!”

Meanwhile, back at Beasley… the WJPT PD/morning opportunity is once again wide open and the position is posted. [Your name here] will oversee all on-air elements with a strong focus on our digital assets. WJPT is a community-oriented AC station and requires the hand of a PD who engages with the community in order to deliver winning ratings. You will also be expected to be sales-friendly, willing to assist Account Execs in the creation of programs to benefit clients and occasionally attending client meetings. All candidates must be strategic and analytical, but must also possess creativity and the instinct to win.

A minimum of three years of proven success on-air and as a PD or APD/MD is required, along with a proficient with RCS Selector, Adobe Audition, Nielsen software and all social media platforms. Multiple music and media industry relationships would be huge, and a live on-air shift is required. Voice Trackers need not apply. Qualified candidates should contact Operations Manager Adam Star at Adam.Star@bbgi.com. Beasley Media Group, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
