PD Opening In Cedar Rapids
RAMP has learned of an amazingly rare PD opening at Top 40 KZIA (Z102.9)/Cedar Rapids, IA, as longtime Operations Manager Greg Runyon informed us he’s leaving after 11 years — “My wife has a super-cool job opportunity in Dallas, so we’re moving in a few weeks,” he told us. “I’ll still do some work from afar with these great people, and before I go they’re letting me help search for a replacement.”
The formal opening is PD for Z102.9, with possible additional Ops Manager stripes for Sports sibling KGYM for the right candidate. The primary mission at this stage, however, is to keep this monster Top 40 humming. As he prepares to hand over the reins of command after more than a decade, Runyon said, “I wandered in here in May of 2005 and had no idea what I was getting myself into.
