Phoenix Homecoming For Mark Medina
• Mark Medina, who has programmed iHeartMedia’s Z100/New York since early 2015, has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Phoenix, effective May 1. He will retain his roles on iHeart’s CHR Brand team and talent development coaching team.
“It’s been an amazing decade at the World Famous Z100,” Medina said. “I’m so thankful and proud of the entire New York team for all we’ve accomplished the past 10 years in moving this iconic brand forward. I owe a huge thank you to Thea, Brad, and Tom for their partnership, mentorship, and scholarship in programming. There is only one job on the planet I would leave Z100 for, and it’s this one. I’ve considered Phoenix home my entire adult life, and I have a special place in my heart for those brands from my previous decade there. Thanks to Tony Travatto, Linda Little, and Kris Foley for the return home to the Valley to start another winning chapter.”
The move back to Phoenix is familiar territory for Medina, who earlier in his career programmed KZZP & KNIX/Phoenix and KRQQ/Tucson. Prior to earning the transfer to Z100 in January 2015 Medina programmed iHeartMedia Top 40 duo WIHT (Hot 99.5)/Washington and WZFT (Z104.3)/Baltimore.
Upon his arrival, Medina will report to Linda Little, Region President for iHeartMedia Phoenix, who said, “Mark Medina’s programming prowess and leadership are evident in his impressive track record at Z100. We are beyond thrilled for his return to Phoenix and cannot wait for Mark to put his touch on our already exceptional brands.”
