Programming Enhancements @ Entercom Las Vegas
• We teased this news last week, and now its official: Entercom Las Vegas announces the imminent arrival of Audrey Lee as the new midday personality on Top 40 KLUC, effective July 2. Ms. Lee (left) travels from Lexington, KY, where she currently does middays on iHeartMedia Alternative WWTF (WTF 97.7). She has also been on-air in the Lexington market at WKQQ and WLLK. Audrey is also the daughter of industry vet Cat Thomas, PD of Hubbard Radio AC WSHE/Chicago. Interestingly, KLUC was notably programmed for 20 years by “the other Cat Thomas,” who is now VP of Top 40 for Cumulus Media.
Hang on, there’s more — KLUC MD Yung Jon Que (below, left) moves from middays to afternoon drive, effective immediately. He will retain his other programming role as APD/MD for KLUC HD-2. Last, but certainly not least, Hector “DJ CO1” Minjarez (below, right) has been elevated to APD and night show host on Rhythmic AC KXQQ (Q100.5). Minjarez will continue as Mix Show Coordinator for both KLUC and Q100.5.
Dan Kearney, SVP/Market Manager, Entercom Las Vegas, commented, “Audrey’s passion and drive for radio assures her place as a future star in our business. We’re confident that Jon Que will continue our station’s tradition of dominance in afternoon drive and DJ CO1’s relentless work ethic and passion for the business will bring him great success on Q100.5. It feels great to solidify both on-air lineups.”
