Promotion Party In Colorado Springs

We understand there is cause for excessive celebration at Bahakel Communications in Colorado Springs with the news of dual promotions — first, congrats are in order for Ross Ford (left), longtime Program Director of heritage Active Rock KILO, who is upgraded to Operations Manager and PD for both KILO and Alternative sister KRXP (RXP @ 103.9).

Ford’s first order of business as the newly minted OM/PD is anointing Chris Austin (right) as the new MD of KRXP. “Chris is a 20-year radio veteran and has been with KRXP for three years,” Ford tells RAMP. “He’s hardworking, and has a great ear for Alternative music.” Concurrent with Austin’s promotion, he moves up from co-host of the Chris & Coba morning show to middays; the talented Ms. Coba will now fly solo in mornings.
