Q: Where’s The Party? A: Reno

• The Evans Broadcast Company (EBC) just launched a new Top 40 station for the Reno market, flipping KRFN-HD2 from Country to 94.9 The Party, “Today’s Top Hits,” employing a taller tower and more power, better blanketing the metro, which is always nice. Market Manager Henry Evans commented, “The Party is a great companion to our Hot AC, KRFN (Fun 101).”

EBC Reno also owns Alternative KRAT (ALT 92.1), FM Talk 99.1 KKFT, Classic Country KCMY-AM/K273AF (102.5 Cowboy Country)/Carson City and News-Talk 92.3 KSVL/Smith, NV.

San Francisco-based Lund Media Group consults the stations and is in the process of hiring the programming staff for The Party, which is currently stunting with 10,000 songs in a row.
