Reed Returns To Alpha Media Columbia
• It’s a radio homecoming for Amy Reed, who has returned to her ancestral broadcast home at Alpha Media Columbia, SC, this time in the dual role of PD/nights at Classic Rock WMFX (Fox 102.3) and MD for Alternative ALT 99.7 (WARQ-HD2).
Ms. Reed (pictured) is already quite familiar with the layout of the building, having previously spent a year and a half there as APD/midday talent at Top 40 clustermate WARQ (Q93.5) until Oct. 2018, when she was hired away as co-host of Wake Up With The Wolf at Entercom Country WPAW (93.1 The Wolf)/Greensboro, NC. Reed started her career in 2012 doing mornings/middays on WBEC (Live 95.9)/Pittsfield, MA, followed by four years in mornings on WAFL (Eagle 97.7)/Dover, DE before landing at WARQ in 2017.
“I’m so excited to be back in Columbia!” Reed told RAMP. “Alpha Media and my immediate supervisor, Director of Pop + Rock Brendan Croghan, have been huge supporters of allowing personalities and programming staff to grow and learn.
