Richards & Calgaro On The Move

• Entercom announced two concurrent programming moves — Vince Richards, Operations Manager of the company’s Sacramento cluster has been promoted to Brand Manager of Adult Hits sister KJKK (100.3 Jack FM)/Dallas-Fort Worth, effective November 1. At the same time is was announced that Joe Calgaro will head west from Entercom Boston to succeed Richards as Operations Manager for the six-station Sacramento market.

“Since 2018, Vince has consistently led the operations efforts for six iconic brands in our Sacramento market, and we look forward to bringing him back to his roots to revamp Jack FM,” said Brian Purdy, Regional President and Market Manager, Entercom Dallas. “Jack FM is a state of mind here in DFW, and Vince’s leadership qualities and rich experience will only fuel its growth.”

The move marks a return to DFW for Richards, who previously served as Operations Manager for iHeartMedia Houston/Dallas. He joined Entercom in 1996 as OM of KQRC (98.9 The Rock)/Kansas City, and was also National Operations Manager for Townsquare Media. “I’m beyond excited to be heading home to the Metroplex and joining the great team at Entercom Dallas,” said Richards. “This opportunity on a personal and professional level is off the charts. •  Joe Calgaro (left) has spent the past two years with Entercom Boston, where he currently serves as Operations Manager for Boston Sports-Talk WEEI-FM/AM and Adult Hits WBGB (Big 103). He also programmed the late, legendary WAAF until it signed off in February. He previously programmed Saga’s WHQG (102.9 The Hog)/Milwaukee, Woodward Communications’ WAPL & WZOR (Razor 94.7)/Appleton-Green Bay, WI and Central Illinois Broadcasting’s WWCT (Rock 106)/Peoria, IL.

The Sacramento group includes Rhythmic KSFM, Top 40 KUDL (106.5 The End), Classic Rock KSEG (96.9 The Eagle), Mainstream Rock KRXQ (98 Rock), Alternative KKDO (ALT 94-7) and KIFM-AM (ESPN 1320).
