Richards Joins Children’s Miracle Network
Veteran programmer Jim Richards is putting his years of valuable media experience to tremendous use as he’s joined Children’s Miracle Network as Media Director, West. Richards most recently served as OM/PD of Cumulus Triple A KFOG and Classic Rock KSAN (107.7 The Bone)/San Francisco until March of this year. His lengthy programming career includes a stop as OM of WLUP & WKQX/Chicago, VP of Content for Tribune Interactive Los Angeles, RVPP of Clear Channel San Diego (and PD of 91X, KIOZ and KGB), Sandusky’s KLCK/Seattle, OM of Clear Channel’s KSJO, KUFX & KCNL/San Jose and he was OM/PD of Jacor’s WEBN, WOFX, WVMX & WAQZ/Cincinnati in the late ’90s.
Richards has been on the job at CMN since September, working from his home in the Bay Area (can’t beat that commute!) and is already doing some serious traveling to various Radiothons across America. “CMN is a great organization, doing wonderful work,” Richards tells RAMP. “Everyone here has been great to work with.” Richards can be congratulated at jrichards@cmnhospitals.org.
