Richards Named OM Of Entercom Sacramento

• Entercom makes it official and introduces Vince Richards as the new Operations Manager of the company’s six-station cluster in Sacramento — Active Rock KRXQ (98 Rock), Alternative KKDO (Radio 94.7), Top 40 KUDL (106.5 The End), Classic Rock KSEG (96.9 The Eagle), Rhythmic KSFM and ESPN affiliate KIFM-AM. He will succeed Jim Fox, who was recently awarded a transfer to Entercom Dallas as VP of Music Programming.

Richards (left) has spent most of his radio career in Texas — he was most recently National Operations Manager for Townsquare Media, and he notably put in a decade of service with Clear Channel Dallas as OM of the cluster and PD of Alternative KDGE (102.1 The Edge) until April 2011. Before his transfer to Dallas, Richards spent six years as Director of FM Programming for Clear Channel Houston.

“We are excited to be partnering with a leader like Vince that can take an already successful group of brands to even greater heights,” said Lance Richard, SVP/Market Manager, Entercom Sacramento. “I’m confident that with his experience and vast programming knowledge, our Sacramento stations will continue to shine.”

Richards remarked, “Sacramento is one of the crown jewel markets in the company with a tradition of excellence and an incredibly talented and passionate staff. Thanks to Pat Paxton, Dave Richards and Lance Richard for passing me the torch and the opportunity to lead this awesome staff.”
