Robb Rose: Free Agent
• Major market vet Robb Rose has exited as PD of Zimmer Country duo KCLR (Clear 99) and KATI (94.3 Kat Country)/Columbia, MO after 16 months. Rose shared the news of his departure in a Facebook post that reads, in part, “When one door closes, another one opens… That’s what they say, right? Today, my time at Zimmer Communications came to an end. I’d like to thank Carla Leible, Trevor Morgan, and Carson Hauger for the chance to helm two legendary brands and play radio with two great teams.”
Prior to joining Zimmer, Rose spent two years as Director of Content for Townsquare’s five-station group in Midland-Odessa, TX and Brand Manager of KNFM (Lonestar 92). Rose is a Chicago native and Columbia College graduate who got his first radio break at B96. He later did nights at Hubbard AC WSHE (100.3 SHE)/Chicago and was later named as the local producer for the syndicated Brooke & Jeffrey morning show. That ride ended in May 2020 when Rose was one of 12 employees downsized due to COVID-related budget cuts.
Rose added, “Truth be told — my passion for this industry has greatly dwindled ever since I lost Chicago due to COVID cuts… And one thing’s for sure — God has a way of pushing you thru a new door when you’re too stubborn to admit it’s time. Here’s to the next chapter of Robb as I close the door on 35 years in radio. Man it’s been a fun ride.” Your best wishes can be shared with Robb at radiorob98@gmail.com.
