Roberts Named News Director At KXL/Portland
• Connoisseur Media’s KXL/Portland, OR has promoted Heather Roberts to News Director, expanding her leadership role while continuing as co-anchor of Portland’s Morning News.
In her new position, Roberts will oversee the editorial direction of KXL’s news operation, guiding coverage and content strategy while maintaining her daily on-air responsibilities.
“Heather is a news force,” said Grant McHill, Program Director of KXL. “She is relentless in her search for the news and will serve KXL well in this role. I’m excited to see where she takes the KXL News Department.”
Roberts joined KXL in November 2024 from Combined Communications News-Talk KBND-AM (FM News 101.1 & 1110)/Bend, OR, where she was News Director and Morning News Anchor. Roberts also owns and operates the Oregon Radio News Network, where she covers regional issues for radio stations across the state.
As KXL approaches its 100th year serving Portland, Roberts’ promotion reflects the station’s continued investment in local journalism and its commitment to providing trusted news and information to the community.
