Ryan Anderson: Pending Free Agent
• Last week we first shared the news of Audacy’s impending sale of Country WLPF (94.1 The Wolf)/Memphis to EMF, and management’s subsequent decision to migrate the Wolf’s format over to the 300,000-watt signal at 99.7 that’s currently home to Hot AC sister WMC-FM (FM 100), thus, “sunsetting” FM100 when the EMF deal closes, sometime within 90 days.
While we did learn that current FM100 morning co-host Erin Austin will be filling the vacant midday shift on the new 99.7 The Wolf, her co-host, APD/MD Ryan Anderson will not be making the transition, and thus, is on the hunt for a new opportunity that can benefit from his 12+ years of PD experience (as “Chris Ryan“) that started at KKCT (Hot 97.5)/Bismarck, ND in 2006 and progressed to KZWF (Hits 105.9)/Des Moines, IA, WWHX (Hits 100.7)/Bloomington, IL, WRTS (Star 104)/Erie, PA and WSOY (Y103)/Decatur, IL, before joining FM100 five years ago. He also spent a year at KHMX (Mix 96.5)/Houston as the local producer of The Kidd Kraddick Morning Show.
