• Saga’s Charleston Media Solutions in Charleston, SC has called upon a familiar voice and a respected member of Lowcountry media to assume Program Director responsibilities at Hot AC WMXZ (Mix 95.9)Brooke Ryan, longtime co-host of the popular Two Girls and a Guy morning show alongside Tanya Brown and Jay Shadix, will take over as the new leader of Mix 95.9, stepping into the large shoes of their former co-host and PD, Mike Edwards, who sadly passed away last December. In her new role, Ryan will lead programming strategy, oversee on-air talent and continue to elevate the station’s presence, both on-air and in the community.

Charleston Media Solutions President Paul O’Malley said, “Brooke has demonstrated a true passion for the business, and combined with her incredible ability to entertain audiences, she is the perfect fit to lead Mix 95.9.”

Ryan’s radio career began in 2001 in Bakersfield, CA. Edwards, Ryan & Brown originally anchored Two Girls and a Guy across the street at Cumulus Top 40 WSSX (95SX). Ryan left the show in October of 2010 and spent four years at the late WRQX (Mix 107.3)/Washington. Edwards left WSSX in 2013, and he and Brown did mornings together on Alpha Media Top 40 KBFF (Live 95.5)/Portland, OR for a year until August 2014, when the trio reunited at WMXZ.

In accepting her new position, Ryan commented, “The ability to program in a company like Saga who believes in live and local radio is truly an honor and I will carry on the legacy of Mike Edwards who built this station into a powerhouse.” [Photo courtesy of Charleston Media Solutions]
