Salisbury Springs Into Colorado

• Now it can be told… last week we told you that Dylan Salisbury was preparing to leave his position as APD/MD/afternoon delight on Cumulus Top 40 WZPL/Indianapolis for the chance at a PD gig within the company — today we are finally free to reveal that Salisbury (left) has accepted a transfer to the PD post at Cumulus Top 40 sister KKMG (98.9 Magic FM)/Colorado Springs, CO. He succeeds Rex Long, who exited in September.

In making the announcement, Bobby Irwin, longtime Operations Manager of Cumulus Colorado Springs, said, “Response for this position was amazing, and I was impressed with the caliber of candidates. From our initial conversations Dylan quickly stood out as the leader that this quality station deserves.”

Prior to joining WZPL as MD/afternoon talent in October 2017, Salisbury held a similar position with iHeartMedia Top 40 KKDM (107.5 Kiss FM)/Des Moines, IA. His earlier stops include KDWB/Minneapolis and KFRX/Lincoln, NE. Commenting on his inaugural PD post, Salisbury said, “It’s an honor to be named Program Director, especially for a legendary station like Magic. I’m excited for the opportunity and I can’t wait to get to Colorado Springs!”

• With Salisbury packing his bags for Colorado Springs, WZPL is now seeking a killer afternoon talent who can also serve as MD. Qualified candidates are cordially invited to apply online via the Cumulus Job Fair.
