Spence For Hire In San Antonio

• News-Talk-Sports veteran Tim Spence has been hired by Alpha Media as Director of Sports Operations for Sports-Talk simulcast KTFM & KZDC (San Antonio’s Sports Star), effective Nov.1. The new role will include day-to-day station operations, programming, and affiliations with strong sports brands in the state of Texas.

Spence most recently worked for iHeartMedia Denver in the multiple roles of Program Director of Talk 630KHOW/Denver and KCOL/Ft. Collins, APD of KOA/Denver and Affiliate Relations Manager for the 140-station Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies radio network until he was one of many affected by those June budget cuts.

Spence’s previous programming stops include ESPN affiliates WUCS/Hartford & WAVZ-AM/New Haven and News-Talk duo WPOP-AM/Hartford & WELI-AM/New Haven. Spence earlier served as OM/Station Manager of Front Range Sports Network’s 102.3/105.5 ESPN Denver.
