Stanton Upped To VP/Audio At Corus
• Veteran programmer Ronnie Stanton has been promoted to Vice President, Audio at Toronto-based Corus Entertainment, and will now oversee the company’s 39 FM and AM radio stations as well as the Curiouscast Podcast Network. Stanton has served as VP of FM Programming for Corus since 2022, and earlier held the position of National Director of Music/Regional PD, Western Canada.
According to the Corus press release, “Ronnie has guided the company’s FM programming strategy for several years and has worked in competitive, major market media for over twenty years — launching stations in groundbreaking new formats and taking underperforming brands to #1 — in the USA, Australia and Canada.”
This is Stanton’s second tour of duty with Corus — after a four-year stint with Astral Media, Stanton initially joined Corus in May 2013 as Sr. Morning Show Coach and Sr. Brand Director of CFOX/Vancouver, and the following year was promoted to VP of National Brands and Programming. Stanton left Corus in Dec. 2016 to join Alpha Media as VP of Content, returning to Corus in Jan. 2020.
