Takes A Large Man…
• We want to take a moment to say hello — and so long — for now — to longtime radio pro McConnell “Man @ Large” Adams, who has made the “Large” decision to step away from radio in order to put family first.
Adams, whose 35-year radio career has taken him to Fairbanks and Anchorage, Alaska, Dallas, Detroit, Fort Wayne, IN and Lansing, MI, announced he has tendered his resignation as Operations Director for Delta Radio Network’s five-station group in Greenville, MS and host of Mornings@Large on Top 40 WIQQ (Q102), effective this Friday.
“I’m joining an aerospace company here in the Delta, and I still get to be close to mom and help take care of her,” said Adams, who had relocated back to his hometown of Greenville last summer to be near his mother, who has been dealing with several serious health issues.
The good news is, Adams will keep one foot in radio, as he will continue to some voice work and tracking for Top 40 KWLF (K-Wolf 98.1)/Fairbanks and Hot AC KMVN (MOViN 105.7)/Anchorage. Looking ahead, Adams can be reached at mccon12470@gmail.com.
