Ted & Amy Hit Several Milestones
• Amy Robbins, co-host of Ted & Amy in the Morning for the past 34 years on Cumulus Top 40 WNTQ (93Q)/Syracuse, NY has been promoted to Executive Producer of the award-winning show.
In her expanded role, Robbins will create content and oversee and execute show elements and will develop and grow the show’s digital and social media platform. She will also continue to host 93Q’s longtime community affairs show, Street Talk.
It was concurrently announced that morning co-host Ted Long celebrates 43 years on 93Q this month, after starting as the overnight jock in 1980 (that’s vintage Ted below). Ted & Amy in the Morning has been on the air since 1989, and the duo was inducted into the New York State Broadcasters Association’s Hall of Fame in 2019.
Beth Coughlin, VP/Market Manager of Cumulus Syracuse, said, “Ted & Amy in the Morning marks its 34-year anniversary this year, bringing Central New Yorkers a reason to smile every morning! Their contributions to the community are unparalleled in New York media and we are pleased to have them on-air with us for many years to come!”
Robbins commented, “We are so fortunate that this company still believes in local morning radio personalities. And because of that, I feel like it’s even more important to make sure that our show reflects what our listeners, our clients and our company care most about. We work hard to represent Central New York in a way that entertains and informs every morning.” Long added, “It’s truly been an honor to be a part of people’s lives for so long. Being born and raised here in Central New York and being able to interact on a daily basis with so much of the community, has been amazing for both of us!”
