• iHeartMedia has hired Dave Tepper as the new Program Director of KOA 850 AM & 94.1 FM/Denver, “Colorado’s News, Talk & Sports Station,” effective immediately. Tepper will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of KOA, the Rockies Radio Network and Broncos Radio Network and will lead and manage the on-air talent, content, programming, and online presence.

Tepper now reports to JoJo Turnbeaugh, Region SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Rockies Region, who said, “We are very excited Dave will be leading our incredible team at KOA. Dave’z track record, vision and leadership is exactly what we need as KOA continues to evolve as Colorado’s News, Talk and Sports leader.”

Tepper crosses the street to iHeartMedia after a four-year run as OM/PD and Network Director of KSE Radio Sports-Talk KKSE (Altitude Sports Radio 92.5 & 950). He previously spent three-plus years with NRG Media Omaha as OM of the cluster and PD of KOZN (1620 The Zone) and News Talk 1290 KOIL, while also spending a season as Studio Coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs’ NFL Radio Network for Cumulus. Tepper landed his first PD gig in Houston with KFNC (ESPN 97.5) and KGOW 1560AM. He earlier hosted sports-talk shows in Houston and Austin, after getting started in radio at KLSX and KABC/Los Angeles.

“I’m thrilled and humbled by the opportunity to take the legendary KOA brands to new heights, including the game-changing chance to work with the Broncos, Rockies and Colorado Buffaloes radio networks,” said Tepper. “My proud journey that includes working with a variety of sports and talk formats, talents and sports radio networks has prepared me for this unique and once-in-a-lifetime step.”
