The Boss New Home Of The Boss

• Press Communications Classic Rock WWZY (107-1 The Boss)/Monmouth-Ocean, NJ just pulled off the Springsteen coup of the decade, creatively acquiring the considerable talents of internationally renowned expert on all-things-Bruuuuuuuuce, Tom Cunningham. After 16 years as host of The Bruce Brunch on Townsquare Media Classic Rock rival WCHR, The Boss magically romanced Tom across the street to host the newly rebranded Springsteen On Sunday, starting this Sunday, August 18 in its familiar 9-11am time slot.

In making the big announcement, Jeff Rafter, VP of Programming for Press Communications, said, “It’s an honor and privilege to have Tom bring his show to 107-1 The Boss. The station is at the heart of the Jersey Shore music scene, and Springsteen On Sunday is a perfect fit. We can’t wait to get started.”

Cunningham began his broadcasting career while attending the University of Dayton, and he famously spent his radio “wonder years” worked at heritage Top 40 WPST in his hometown of Trenton, NJ from 1979 to 1989. He went on to hold National and Executive promotion posts at Reprise, Jive, Universal and Vanguard Records, and he’s currently the Hot AC Editor at All Access Music Group. Cunningham commented, “I’m excited to begin the next chapter of my radio adventure. To be able to share this music and culture continues to be an incredible gift. I look forward to jumping in with both feet.”
