The End Reboots ‘Locals Only,’ Adds Camfield

• Audacy announced a couple of significant programming updates for Alternative KNDD (107.7 The End)/Seattle: 1) after a 2 1/2 year hiatus, the Sunday evening Locals Only specialty show, hosted by Steven Graham makes its triumphant return this Sunday, April 16, and 2) company veteran Ian Camfield will assume command of afternoon drive on The End.

For more than a decade, Graham (left) has been organizing local club shows, booking music festivals and writing about local music for different outlets in the greater Seattle area. He also spent five years as the most recent host of Locals Only, heard Sunday evenings from 7-9pm on 107.7 The End.

“We’re thrilled to bring Steven and a station staple back into our programming slate and once again spotlight the music originating from this corner of the country,” said Jack Hutchison, SVP/Market Manager, Audacy Seattle. “We’re equally excited to welcome Ian and his program into the weekday mix and add his love for music into our lineup.”

Graham commented, “After two and a half years of the show being off the air, I’m extremely excited to have the opportunity to rejoin the team at The End and be a part of this important platform for local artists coming back to life. As a kid who grew up listening to The End and loving Seattle music, hosting Locals Only was a dream come true. Being trusted with the show again is an honor and I can’t wait to get started.”

The End will celebrate the welcome return of Locals Only this Sunday with a special “Seattle Sounds” weekend featuring artists who have broken out of Seattle and the Pacific Northwest, from Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and Alice In Chains, to Death Cab For Cutie, Modest Mouse, The Head and the Heart, Brandi Carlile, Syml, Sunny Day Real Estate and many more.

Camfield (right) is based at sister KVIL (ALT 103.7)/Dallas and is also heard on Audacy stations in Denver, Detroit and San Diego. “I have been a fan of The End since I used to stream it in the UK and steal their ideas for my London radio station,” said Camfield. “It’s great to now be part of the team for this iconic Alternative brand.”
