mix-morning-fixdanielson-jared-2016It’s “Fun With Formats™” day at Broadway Media in Salt Lake City, as the company performs a delicate personnel swap between two stations — the action starts at Country KEGA (101.5 The Eagle), as PD/morning co-host Jon Watkins grabs his headphones and crosses the hall to Top 40 sibling KUDD (Mix 105.1) to host the “Mix Morning Fix.” Watkins (far left) isn’t alone in his short journey, as he is accompanied by his current wake-up cohorts, Chantal Lauren (center) and Justin Taylor (right). Naturally, Matt Johnson remains PD of KUDD.

As the trio rolls all their stuff over to KUDD, they pause to high-five outgoing KUDD MD/morning personality Jared “Banks” Danielson (far right), a four-year station vet who will now take up residence as PD/morning delight over at KEGA as it flips into Christmas mode. Fun is sure to follow. RAMP caught up with an excited Jon Watkins, who told us, “I was with KEGA for eight years, and this will be my first time doing mornings for Top 40. I’m excited about the change! Our show has built a nice following with Country listeners and I’m hoping that it will continue to grow as we join KUDD.” Your best wishes can be sent to Watkins at jwatkins@bwaymedia.com; reach out to Danielson at jdanielson@bwaymedia.com.
