Three Signals + Mark Elliott

Mustang Media Oldies WDJO-AM/Cincinnati just installed new translators at 99.5 and 107.9 FM and also added programmer/consultant Mark Elliott to the equation to consult on programming and music issues for 2018. WDJO GM Gary Stephens explains, “As WDJO moves to cover Cincinnati with our new FM frequencies, we wanted a market veteran to help target the music and programming. Mark is the perfect fit to take us to… the next level™.”

Elliott retorted, “‘Market veteran?’ Does that mean I’m old?” Hey, but seriously, Elliott said, “WDJO is an anomaly — a radio station independently owned and locally operated and programmed. And they want to do it right, with a limited commercial inventory, great local personalities and lots of upbeat music from the past 50 years. Radio has been abandoning ‘baby boomer’ listeners, but the success of stations like MeTV FM in Chicago shows us that there is more than one way to entertain. I’m looking forward to playing radio again in Cincinnati.” Elliott can be reached at mark.elliott@markelliottradio.com.
