Townsquare Amarillo Makes Wright Choice
• Townsquare Media Amarillo is proud to welcome Danny Wright to the great state of Texas as Brand Manager and afternoon host of Top 40 KXSS (96.9 Kiss FM). “From the first time Danny and I spoke on the phone, I knew he was going to be a perfect fit for our cluster and Kiss FM,” said Braden Smith, OM of Townsquare Amarillo. “His energy is ideal for live, local radio, which we love.”
Wright was most recently Production/Creative Director for iHeartMedia Hartford. His previous Creative Director stops include WSTR (Star 94.1)/Atlanta and WNCI/Columbus. Wright’s earlier on-air and programming department stops include WZEE (Z104)/Madison, KCHZ/Kansas City, KSD-FM and KSLZ/St. Louis and 92 PRO-FM/Providence. He got his first break doing late nights at WBLI/Long Island in 1993.
“I’ve worked with some great people and it looks like my journey is about to add a few more!” Wright said. “My incoming role as Brand Manager is something I have strived for and I look forward to being in that position for years to come.
