Tripp Rogers Comes Home To KHTQ/Spokane
• Morgan Murphy Active Rock KHTQ (Rock 94 ½)/Spokane, WA is thrilled beyond all reason to announce the return of prodigal son Tripp Rogers, who is rejoining Rock 94 ½ as APD and the station’s new morning host, starting Monday, March 3. He will succeed Scott Steele, who is stepping away from radio.
Rogers, who most recently worked for Blue Sky Broadcasting, originally worked at KHTQ from 1998 until 2007, a stint that included three years as morning co-host with Gary Allen and hosting the station’s local music show, Local945. His area history also includes stops at Z-Rock, KEZE (Rock 106), and nearly every major Rock station in Spokane, Coeur d’Alene, and Sandpoint. Rogers’ career has included roles as an on-air personality, music director, motorsports announcer, and production pro.
“I’m beyond stoked to be back home at Rock 94 ½,” said Rogers. “This station has always been a huge part of my career and my life. I can’t wait to wake up Spokane, crank the volume, and keep this rock train rolling!”
As Scott Steele steps down from the business, Rock 94 ½ thanks him for his years of dedication and wishes him the best on his next adventure.
