Twin-Bladed Razor
• Woodward Radio Group’s 18-year-old Active Rock WZOR (Razor 94.7)/Green Bay, WI just doubled its broadcast footprint with the addition of a second frequency serving the neighboring Oshkosh and Fond du Lac, WI area — the company’s recently acquired WBJZ/Berlin, WI is now simulcasting WZOR, and both stations are now operating under rebranded handle Razor 94.7 104.7.
Razor afternoon jock Cutter and the Razor team kicked off the launch of the second frequency yesterday afternoon with a live broadcast from Opera House Square in beautiful downtown Oshkosh. “The entire team is excited to grow Razor into the Oshkosh area,” said Ryan “Elwood” Bjorn, Brand Manager of Razor 94.7 104.7. “For years, individuals outside of our original listening area have been asking us to bring Razor’s mix of rock music and personality to them. And we’ve seen the appetite for Razor’s brand of rock grow in this community. Adding the 104.7 frequency to Razor will help feed that appetite and hopefully make the Oshkosh and Fond du Lac areas just a little louder.”
GM Kelly Radandt said, “This additional signal fits nicely into our long term strategic goal for our radio division and allows us to serve even more communities in Northeast Wisconsin.” The addition of the second frequency comes with a digital rebranding — Razor can now be found online at RazorWisconsin.com, as well as on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram @RazorWisconsin.
