Vacancies Filled At Kiss FM Green Bay
• Woodward Radio Group Top 40 WKSZ (95.9 Kiss FM)/Green Bay-Appleton-Oshkosh, WI, welcomes two new employees: Reed Petitpren joins as afternoon talent/Digital Content Creator, and Edgar Ybarra climbs aboard as the new Kiss FM MD/midday jock.
Petitpren (left) previously spent three years in afternoon drive at the late KQGO (Go 96.3)/Minneapolis, six years in afternoons at Bell Media’s CIMX (89X)/Windsor-Detroit and did weekends at Beasley’s WRIF/Detroit. Ybarra (right) is a market veteran who previously worked for vCreative and for Cumulus in Oshkosh, Savannah, GA and Rockford, IL.
Kiss FM Brand Manager Joe Marroe said, “Losing two major talents of the station in the last six months [MD/afternoon personality Heather Storm left in March after 12 years, and Drake Webb left last October to join The Dave Ryan Show on KDWB/Minneapolis] — was a huge hit, but taking the time and doing it right, both Reed and Edgar should be staples of the station for years to come.”
Petitpren said, “I’m excited to work with the great crew here at WRG. There is something about the vibe here that is just different. WRG does radio the way radio is supposed to be done — local and community-oriented.” Ybarra remarked, “I have found the elusive unicorn in Woodward Radio Group. I’m excited to join the team. The opportunity to be live and local and to be able to create fresh and new content on Kiss FM for Northeast Wisconsin is one I couldn’t pass up. The team that has been put together for Kiss FM and all of Woodward is top-notch. It’s a rare vibe to find in the radio business these days and I’m really happy to be part of it.”
Petitpren makes his Kiss FM debut today, while Ybarra will start next Monday, May 9.
